Vision Correction Solutions at Any Stage of Life
How Vision Changes Overtime
At Kugler Vision, we take a completely new approach to vision care. Today, the average person sees their eye doctor every year or two for a new prescription for glasses or contact lenses. They end up stuck in a recurring cycle of exam → new prescription → exam → new prescription … forever!
Rarely is any thought given to the patient’s lifetime vision needs, nor is any thought given to preventing the need for constantly changing glasses and contact lens prescriptions.
There’s a better way. By taking a proactive approach toward your vision, you can plan for a lifetime of clear vision without lenses and without the expenses of yearly prescription changes, and enjoy all the benefits along the way.
Kids and Teens Ages 10-17
Good eye health starts early, when bodies are developing and vision changes occur rapidly. It is crucial to monitor and track these changes during this stage, as the information we gain during these developmental years leads to more informed decisions in the future. We also use this as an opportunity to educate on the good habits of overall eye care such as vision and sports safety and proper use of contact lenses. We even provide training for enhanced visual sports performance.
This age group of patients can usually benefit from our EyeAnalysis Eye Assessment.
Young Adults Ages 18-43
In early adulthood, typically between ages 18 and 21, your eyes have completely developed and are stable enough to benefit from laser vision correction. Choosing to have laser vision correction at an early age is an economic and lifestyle decision. The type of vision correction treatment will depend on the health of your eyes and your current prescription, but the overall target for any patient at this stage is to achieve complete independence from glasses or contacts.
This age group of patients can usually benefit from vision correction such as LASIK, PRK, SMILE, or ICL.
Middle Years Ages 44-60
As you enter your 40s, you start to notice a growing need for reading glasses as things at a near distance become blurry, even if you had LASIK earlier in life. The need for reading glasses is the first stage of a condition called dysfunctional lens syndrome (DLS), which is a natural part of the aging process. When you are a patient of our VisionTrack™ program, we will be able to identify this process at its earliest stages. We will then provide a treatment protocol to reduce or completely eliminate the need for reading glasses.
This age group of patients can usually benefit from laser vision correction, Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), or Monovision.
Adults 60+
As you continue to age, you start to notice changes in the quality of your vision because of your natural lens continuing to harden and yellow, which is the early stages of cataracts. No one is immune from cataracts. It’s a natural part of the aging process, even if you had LASIK earlier in life. The changes are slow and can often go unnoticed for years. Many of our first-time patients are actually cataract sufferers seeking relief. We specialize in cataract treatment and administer the most advanced treatment methods for cataract removal, including all-laser cataract surgery.
This age group of patients can usually benefit from Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), laser cataract surgery, and sometimes LASIK or PRK.
Your VisionTrack™ Personalized Eye Care Program
Much like a financial planner puts you on the right track toward a life of financial security, we put you on a healthcare track toward a life of visual freedom and clarity. The VisionTrack™ approach for holistic vision care provides you with your best possible vision – not just now, but for the rest of your life.
It begins with our comprehensive initial evaluation called VisionTrack EyeAnalysis™. Everyone’s vision is unique, and in your initial EyeAnalysis assessment, we will use our advanced diagnostics to analyze every aspect of your eye health and visual field. We then use the data gathered from your EyeAnalysis assessment to develop your own personal VisionTrack™. The main protocol is to treat any and all related vision issues using the most advanced techniques and technology available, until a refractive (vision correction) procedure is an option.
