Education

Cassandra Jordan, OD, an Indiana native, received her bachelor of arts in Biology from Indiana University and went on to earn her doctorate of optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN.

Prior to optometry school, she worked in multiple optometry offices as a technician as well as an optician to gain valuable knowledge about her future career. During her education at Indiana University, she competed externships at a cornea and contact lens practice as well as two refractive / surgical co-management clinics. It was after these clinics, she found her love for ophthalmic disease as well as refractive and surgical co-management optometry.

Professional Experience

After graduation, Dr. Jordan completed an ocular disease and surgical co-management residency in Atlanta, GA and used her experience while working at at large refractive surgery practice in Georgia. She moved to Denver, CO and continued her career working at a private practice. In 2022, she and her husband moved to Omaha to be closer to family, and she joined the Kugler Vision team.

Dr. Jordan takes pride in providing the best care to her patients and finds joy in the exciting outcomes that refractive and cataract surgery provides to patients. Giving patients improved and better vision than they have ever had is stimulating and what she finds most rewarding about optometry. She sees patients of all ages and manages patients ranging from primary eye care, ocular disease, as well as cataract and refractive surgery peri-operative care.

Additionally, Dr. Jordan stays connected professionally as an active member in the Nebraska Optometric Association through the American Optometric Association.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Dr. Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and friends—her and her husband have one daughter and are loving their new role as parents! Dr. Jordan loves to run, hike, travel, ski, and bake the occasional sweet treat. She enjoys getting outside in the sunshine, or if the Nebraska weather isn’t cooperating, cozying up by the fireplace.
