Ophthalmic Technician
Reports To: Clinical Manager
Job Description: The Ophthalmic Technician, or Patient Concierge, is the first point of contact for patients and is an integral part of our practice. You are the face of the organization and a cheerful and professional demeanor is implicit. As a Kugler Vision technician, you generally see the patient before the ophthalmologist or optometrist and are responsible for preparing the patient for the exam by collecting background information and provisioning diagnostic tests and measurements.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer the phones, and schedule appointments.
- Gather medical records and patient information.
- Provide exemplary patient service.
- Perform ocular tests and measurements.
- Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
- Assist the ophthalmologist and optometrist in basic procedures.
