About Jamie, A Kugler Vision LASIK Patient
“I grew up in Logan, Iowa and am currently a high school senior at Logan-Magnolia. I lifeguard at Blair YMCA and Missouri Valley Aquatic Center and in my free time I enjoy swimming, boating with my friends and family other water activities.
The Struggles
I first started wearing glasses in the third grade. I oftentimes feel very irritated with my glasses and contacts. Blurry vision has affected my life, especially as a lifeguard. As a lifeguard, I was not able to wear certain goggles and my contact lenses would dry out in the pool. After swimming, I experience a burning sensation in my eyes the following morning after putting in my contact lenses.
A few of my biggest frustrations that I experience are not being able to wear sunglasses with glasses, dry eyes, and most importantly not being able to see when I wake up in the morning.
Is LASIK For Me?
I heard about vision correction from my mom, who had it done a number of years ago. LASIK has always been a topic of discussion between us because I am so active. She encouraged me to finally take the plunge to find out if I’m a good candidate for LASIK.
After LASIK, I think that I am looking forward to the most is being able to see in the morning and falling asleep without having to take out my contacts.
Jump In
Thinking about the procedure, I’m quite nervous, but I hear Kugler Vision makes it a great experience and I know it’s going to be great to get it over with now instead of 15 years later in my life.
If you are thinking about LASIK, take the risk! Jump in and do it. I know you may be scared, but it’s going to be for the better in the long run.
