Meet the Kugler Vision Staff: Doug
Published by on September 15, 2015
We think it’s time you got to know our staff a little bit more! Each month we, at Kugler Vision in Omaha, NE will highlight one staff member just for you! Doug Wright is this month’s lucky staff member. Doug is a technician, or patient concierge, at Kugler Vision in Omaha. He is the one who will take you through eye tests and diagnostics to gather information for your doctor. Kugler Vision technicians guide you through your entire appointment, making you feel at ease and comfortable. They are always ready and willing to answer any questions you may have! Doug took time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions. Read his responses to get to know him more! If you could describe yourself in one word, what would that be?
- Personable. I’m a people guy.
What are your hobbies?
- I play guitar and have a small collection of amplifiers, effects, and things like that. I am a huge Chiefs Football fan and have been since I was a kid. I like to cook too.
How do you recharge?
- I like to go fishing when I can. Just being outdoors. I spend a lot of time with my wife and our two girls. Music is a big one for me too.
If you were to tell one person “ Thank You” for helping me become the person I am today, who would it be and what did they do?
- Probably my Mom and Dad. They were always there for me and were involved in every facet of my life as a kid. Great memories.
What’s the most important lesson you have learned this past year?
- I’ve learned a little more about being a dad. It’s a constant learning process.
What movie or novel do you most identify with?
- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. He was a confident dude. Everybody liked the guy. He wants to have a good time. And the quote “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.” That’s an all time great.
When are you the happiest?
- When I’m creating something. Relationships, music, food. All of it.
What kind of impact do you believe you have on people?
- I hope a good one. I like people to feel comfortable and so I have an empathetic side that I think has helped me with that a lot.
What one memory do you most treasure?
- Probably a tie between marrying my wife, Kari, and the birth of our two girls Madeline and Makenzie. Those are great life events for me I will never forget. Am I allowed to do that?
What superpower would you like to have?
- To fly. No question.
If you ruled the world, what would you change on Day 1?
- That’s a tough question. I just think I would try to inject more morality into society. A true sense of right and wrong. It gets lost in the noise.
How do you think your coworkers see you?
- They appreciate a good sense of humor. As a good team member I hope. I’ve worked pretty hard to always get better at what I do and not go through the motions. Hopefully they see that. Someone willing to help.
If you could eat only one food on a desert island, what would it be?
- Pizza would be a good choice since it covers the food groups I guess. Let’s go with that.
