Gary Sharp Steps Up His Game at Calling Plays With Laser Vision Correction
OMAHA — Gary Sharp, sports director for KOZN-AM, Sharp and Benning in the Morning co-host, and the official play-by-play voice for UNO men’s basketball, has made the call to trust his eyes to Lance Kugler, MD, for laser vision correction. Sharp will have the life-changing procedure later this month at Kugler Vision, the Midwest’s leading provider in advanced vision correction.
Sharp brings a spirit of excitement and passion for local sports to The Zone to keep listeners informed and entertained — it’s easy to understand why his vision is a top priority. It’s his job to be his listeners’ eyes as he describes every moment of the game’s action in his energetic play-by-plays.
“Reading stat sheets and computer screens, along with watching the games, are all important aspects of my job,” Sharp said. To do his job well, Sharp has to go back and forth between seeing clearly both near and far — that’s why he is choosing laser vision correction. “With laser vision correction, my goal is to see the games better than even the referees out there making the calls!” Sharp commented. He’s excited to take this step to improve his career performance.
Sharp isn’t alone in his decision to enhance his view with laser vision correction, which is available through several different procedures, the most popular being LASIK. Sharp wasn’t a good candidate for LASIK, but he is a good candidate for another one of Kugler Vision’s life-changing, vision correction procedures – ICL. ICL is an implantable lens, similar to a contact lens. It provides clear distance near and far, and is approved for long-term vision correction.
If you have been told that you aren’t a good candidate for LASIK but still want to raise your work performance to the next level without glasses and contacts in the way, you may still be a good candidate for one of the seven procedures offered at Kugler Vision. About 90 percent of the patients who visit Kugler Vision are candidates for vision correction and a life without the barriers of glasses or contacts.
Dr. Kugler is available to the media to speak further on the benefits of laser vision correction and how it can be a lifestyle and sports enhancement.
