Why did you choose refractive surgery as a specialty?

Coming from an engineering background, I was initially drawn to ophthalmology for its application of physics and cutting-edge technology. My decision to specialize in refractive surgery stemmed from its transformative impact, allowing individuals to achieve their optimal vision. Refractive surgery enhances every facet of life, from daily functionality and safety to economic freedom. It represents the pinnacle of optimizing lifelong visual performance, a deeply rewarding endeavor.

Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?

Outside of work, I value spending time with my husband and relaxing. Our evenings are usually spent bike riding to the park, trying new restaurants, and cooking together. We especially love skiing and prioritize visiting the slopes whenever possible. In my free time, I also enjoy hiking, camping, running, and gardening.
