Sara Petska, OD

Hi, everyone! I’m Dr. Sara Petska, an experienced optometrist now accepting new patients at Modern Vision Solutions. I am thrilled to be joining a growing practice that delivers innovative solutions to your everyday (and complex) vision problems. I am accepting patients ages three and up and I can’t wait to provide you and your family with the comprehensive eye care you need.

I am originally from Grand Island, Nebraska and earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. After falling in love with optometry while working in an optical throughout college, I attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. I graduated summa cum laude from optometry school in 2017 following the completion of rigorous clinical externships at renowned ophthalmology and optometry practices in the Kansas City area. I have practiced optometry in a variety of different office settings and communities over the last several years which has allowed me to gain experience in many areas of my field.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and two rescue dogs. I am married to a fellow optometrist and we have a young son that keeps us on our toes! You can usually find me working on home improvement projects, listening to true crime podcasts, or chasing my active toddler around the park. Being a working mother is the greatest joy of my life.
