“I had been putting off Lasik for years because I hate to have things near my eye. I was unable to handle contacts and even eye drops are a struggle for me. A friend of mine told me to try Kugler Vision and how great his experience was so I figured I would give it a shot and be done with my glasses before I had the motorcycles out for the summer. It was an extremely simple process they walked me through every step of the way and while the procedure was being done they took great care of me talking with me and giving me a stress ball to keep me relaxed. “Never should have waited. From day 1 Kugler staff was amazing. They are courteous, thorough, and most of all comforting and empathetic when needed. During the months of debating if I should or shouldn’t, they were understanding and ready when I was. The day of surgery was quick, painless, then over in 6 minutes from the time I laid down. Prior to the procedure they place you in a calming waiting area with light relaxing music and just before it was my time, my wedding song came on. It was a sign I never should have waited. Dr. Kugler is one of the original founders of the Refractive Surgery Alliance, an international organization comprised of over 350 of the world’s leading vision correction surgeons; he also served as its first president. In 2019, Dr. Kugler was selected as a TEDx speaker, and delivered a talk in Omaha about the worldwide epidemic of nearsightedness and refractive solutions. Dr. Kugler is an Associate Professor of Refractive Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Truhlsen Eye Institute, has been published in many medical journals, and participates in numerous clinical studies to advance the field of vision correction surgery. Additionally, Dr. Kugler is proud to be a Board Certified Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences. Dr. Kugler and his wife are proud parents to five active kids. When he has a spare moment, he enjoys skiing, tennis, travel, and fine coffee.
